This free course will be delivered on Monday 13th November at Citizens Advice Regional Office, 46 Donegall Pass, Belfast, BT7 1BS.  The course will run from 10.30am to 1pm.

Universal Credit is being introduced in Northern Ireland from September 2017 to September 2018.  This is the biggest change to the welfare system in 20 years and will affect huge numbers of welfare claimants in Northern Ireland.  Universal Credit will replace Income Support, Income-based JSA, Income-related ESA, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit.

This free session provides a basic overview and introduction to Universal Credit and will include sanctions, hardship payments and finance support.  We will include a synopsis of the other major changes to Welfare Reform including PIP, the mitigations package, passport benefits and details of specialist support available.
