Challenging your benefits decision
If you have received a decision on your benefits which you believe is wrong, you may be able to challenge it.
For advice, contact your Local Bureau. There are strict time limits so you should seek advice as soon as possible.
Most of our Bureaux have advisors and tribunal representatives who can help you challenge your benefits decision. They can help you ask for the decision to be looked at again, complete appeal forms, gather information that will help support your appeal, and go along to your appeal hearing with you to represent you.
Statistics show you are more than twice as likely to succeed in an appeal with representation. Citizens Advice NI is the lead provider of independent tribunal advice and advocacy providing representation in more than 2,700 appeals each year throughout the province.
