Social Security Advocacy
Citizens Advice has developed a training package to provide the necessary skills for those who wish to get involved in tribunal representation. The package also assists experienced tribunal representatives to gain recognition of their work.
The "Social Security Advocacy" module is accredited by Staffordshire University at level 4, which is the diploma level of the BA (Hons.) in Advice Studies degree. The Course enhances knowledge and understanding of the jurisdiction and procedures of tribunals. The acquisition of practical advocacy skills is encouraged through role-play, observation of tribunals and supervised representation.
Participants successfully completing this 7 day module will receive a certificate from the University.
