Money Wise Celebration Event


Money WiseYoung People who particpated in the Citizens Advice Money Wise Project have received certificates in recognition of their achivements. The Money Wise Celebration Event, held on Thursday 21st August at the Holiday Inn, Belfast, provided an opportunity for Citizens Advice to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the young people who have participated in the Money Wise Project over the past two years and to thank them for their contribution to the project.  The lively event was also attended by many family members and friends who joined in the celebration.

Cool FM DJ, Pete Snodden presented the certificates at the event and congratulated young people on their success. Young people involved in the Money Wise Project have undertaken a range of accredited training including, money management courses, peer education and child protection.


The Citizens Advice Money Wise Project offered a range of opportunities for young people aged 14-25 to gain financial capability skills and also to train as peer educators and deliver money management information to other young people in their local community. The project was specifically targeted at young people who may be at high risk of financial exclusion, including young parents, young people in and leaving care, young homeless people and NEET young people (Not in education, employment or training).

 
The Money Wise Project was funded by the Youth Education Social Inclusion Partnership (YESIP) under Measure 2.2: Developing Children and Young People.
