Beat The Recession Project Starts in L'Derry
The ‘Beat the Recession’ is a Big Lottery funded project which aims to extend debt and money advice services to help communities most in need in Northern Ireland cope with the effects of the recession. The project is being led by Citizens Advice, in partnership with Advice NI and the Law Centre NI.

The project's first ‘Beat The Recession’ Roadshow is hitting the Strand Road Tesco Store, Londonderry/Derry tomorrow, Saturday 9th October.

Trained debt advisors will be providing debt information and advice on a number of issues including income maximisation, budgeting, prioritising debt, housing, statutory and tax debts, debt remedies, including but not limited to bankruptcy, ‘Individual Voluntary Agreements’, debt management plans, and informal arrangements.
The ‘Beat The Recession’ project seeks to support individuals and families struggling financially due to loss of income and changed circumstances as a result of the economic downturn.
