Training Calendar 2008-9

CAB Support & Shadowing DayThe Citizens Advice Adviser Training Programme (ATP) is accredited at OCN level 3. Each course runs for 14 weeks with an additional day after a further four weeks on Social Policy.  Where there are spaces on individual sessions, these will be available for other staff/volunteers after those from the “catch-up” list get first priority.

The Social Security Advocacy course runs for 7 weeks (1 day a week) and is accredited by the University of Staffordshire (15 credits at Diploma level).

The Equality Commission Workshops are yet to be confirmed for dates and venues, and are open to those who have signed up to that project.

All unhighlighted events are one day events.

The Introduction to Immigration & Nationality is a one day course and meets the OISC criteria for Foundation level training.

We are currently negotiating with the LRA and Law Centre about training in employment rights for migrant workers and advanced training in Immigration & Nationality.

The LRA will also offer employment training on discipline and grievance procedures, etc.
