Plaudits for Newtownabbey CAB

Newtownabbey CAB has had its membership renewed after a rigorous organisational and quality of advice audit. The audits are a 3 yearly requirement of CAB Membership and are carried by accredited auditors from England and Wales. They rated the Newtownabbey quality of advice as excellent and said, that in terms of quality and systems, the bureau had been very highly rated. Citizens Advice is the only advice agency in Northern Ireland to commission external quality of advice and organisational audits.
The quality assurance system passports CAB offices through to the requirements of the  Legal Services Commision. The Manager, Pat Hutchinson (pictured), said she was delighted with the result.  "This is a real vote of confidence in the bureau, it shows clients that they will get excellent advice from Newtownabbey CAB. "
