Citizens Advice - Royal British Legion Partnership Wins Award

The Institute of Money Advisers (IMA) has recognised the success of the CAB Benefits and Money Advice Partnership with the Royal British Legion and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund by awarding it the Best Partnership Award at a ceremony held last Monday night, 10th May 2010.

The IMA is the professional body for money advisers and their role is to celebrate excellence and reward good performance. The awards were  open to everyone working in the free to client sector and covers both individuals and organisations who deliver money advice. The award winning Benefits and Money Advice service offers advice on a range of welfare and benefits issues, including money and debt advice. 

CAB advisers offer free and confidential advice for dealing with money worries, including checking entitlement to state benefits and dealing with debt.

Colin Gracey, the Project Co-ordinator for the Partnership in Northern Ireland said "We are delighted that the success of the Partnership has been recognised in this way. The advisers working on the project are a team dedicated to ensuring that all those who have served their country, along with their families, receive the assistance and support they deserve"
