Our advice line service gives you the opportunity to discuss your query and receive advice from a telephone adviser immediately.
You will be advised of the options available, allowing you to make a more informed decision about your next course of action.
We can also send you further information on your query or suggest other organisations that may be able to assist you.
The Strabane & District CAB office can facilitate gateway assessments/ appointments every weekday between 09.30- 16.00 (Lunch 13.00-14.00.) A gateway assessment will be arranged for if you arrive without having made an appointment.
A gateway assessment is a short interview (typically around 10 minutes) conducted by a trained gateway assessment interviewer.
Our gateway interviewer will explore your problem with you and identify any particular risks or emergencies. We will then make you aware of how we are best suited to help and suggest one of the following:
- An emergency advice session
- An appointment to discuss your query with an advisor
- Signpost you to telephone or email advice
- Provide you with information relating to your query enabling you to self help (or)
- Signpost you to another organisation that may be better placed to help you with your enquiry
* Advice can not be provided during your gateway assessment
We can arrange an appointment for you to speak at length with one of our qualified advisors about your query. If we are best suited to help you we will offer ongoing support until your query has been resolved.
Appointments are available 09.30- 16.00 Monday to Friday. To arrange an appointment call us on 028 7138 2665 and select option 2 or call into the bureau in person for a gateway assessment.
We get clients who come to us with a wide range of issues, many of which are very complex. Please be patient. We provide a quality service but this may take some time.
